These titles have not (yet) been edited by a professional. As a struggling artist, when I finished these labors of love, I decided to self-publish them, though I could not afford the services that really make a book a team effort and the best that it can be.
I received some lovely reviews but otherwise have not promoted these titles the way I will in future, when a professional edit and new edition have been completed. Nevertheless, I wanted to share them with you, as they hold a very beloved place in my heart, and are a window into the process of writing.
A story of love, mystery, and second-chances.
Are we defined by the past? Or are we free, at every moment, to change the course of our lives?
Niall Dubhain, celebrated mercenary and Laird of a Highland clan, has always been content to leave his past and his people to themselves, until the death of comrade brings him home, into the path of an Innkeeper's daughter. Faith MacDolwyn dreamed of a life beyond the small kitchen of her father's inn but finds more than she had bargained for when she is offered work on a distant Highland estate, drawn to its rough and troubled Laird.
Set against the backdrop of the beautiful and wild Highlands in the year 1800, Who Lives is a sweet, romance that touches on the historical events of the Napoleonic Wars and the Highland Clearances.
When Finn inherits the kingdom of Dyre, he is startled to learn the castle is a haven for runaway and self-rescued princesses. At the coronation, it is evident that the tunic-and-trouser clad Princess Lucia resents anyone who would attempt to take up the scepter of the previous king--despite the prediction of the kingdom's clairvoyant cat, Jasper, who insists the fates of the two are joined.
Adventure, comedy, mystery, romance--The Song of the Phoenix is enchanting entertainment for all!
